Air Italy finalises agreement to sub-lease A330 to Finnar

Olbia, October 10th, 2018 - Air Italy today finalized an agreement to sub-lease one of its Airbus A330-200 aircraft to Finnair.

The sub-lease agreement will be for a period of approximately three weeks, starting from Friday October 12th.

Air Italy Chief Operating Officer, Rossen Dimitrov, said: “We are pleased to extend assistance to Finnair. With a successful airline such as Finnair selecting Air Italy’s aircraft and personnel, it demonstrates a high level of trust in our new fleet and product.”





Air Italy is an Italian airline fully owned by AQA Holding (51% Alisarda and 49% Qatar Airways), with its headquarters in Olbia and main operating base in Milan Malpensa.

In March 2018 the Company started operation as Air Italy.

Beginning in May 2018, Air Italy added new domestic routes from Milan to Rome, Naples, Palermo, Catania, and Lamezia Terme, all scheduled for connection to its newest long-range destinations including New York, Miami (June 2018), Bangkok (September 2018) and Delhi and Mumbai (December 2018).

Its network also includes direct international flights from Milan Malpensa to Accra, Cairo, Dakar, Lagos, Mombasa and Zanzibar, and, from its Olbia Costa Smeralda hub, year-round scheduled services to Rome, Milan Linate and seasonal ones to a wide range of domestic and regional destinations.

Air Italy’s fleet is currently comprised of two Boeing 737 MAX, seven Boeing 737 NG, four Airbus A330 and three Boeing 767-300.

By the end of 2018, the fleet will be renewed following the full retirement of the B767-300 and the arrival of one more Boeing 737 MAX and one further Airbus A330-200.
