Air Italy first appearance at TTG with the new brand

Rimini, 10 October 2018 - Air Italy debuted at TTG Incontri in Rimini for the first time today after the brand unveiling in February 2018, and the launch of its new intercontinental routes from its Milan Malpensa hub with the significantly enhanced on-board product and service.

Showcasing its new product, Cabin Crew uniforms, destinations and service, Air Italy presence was marked with a significantly larger stand and a full complement of staff to brief the Italian travel trade community on all the airline’s new developments.

Air Italy’s winter 2018-19 schedule includes all the new products from Milan Malpensa launched in summer 2018, in addition to the continuation of flights to Olbia from Linate, Fiumicino and Bologna.

All flights to the United States are already on sale building on the very successful summer season where load factors exceeded 90% in the peak. For winter 2018/19 the Milan-New York increases from five weekly frequencies to a daily service starting December 1st, while the flight to Miami is now five times a week.

The new Milan-Bangkok service launched on September 9th has also been increased to five weekly flights during the winter from the four of the summer.

Starting in December, Air Italy will inaugurate its new routes to India: Milan-Delhi on December 6th and Milan-Mumbai on December 13th, both operating with three weekly flights.

The international routes of Air Italy from Milan also benefit from convenient and seamless connections via Malpensa with Rome Fiumicino, Catania, Palermo, Naples, Lamezia Terme and Olbia.

From its Malpensa hub, Air Italy also offers all its historical destinations in Africa: Mombasa; Dakar, Accra, Lagos, Zanzibar, Cairo and Sharm El-Sheikh, all served by multiple weekly frequencies.

Air Italy’s USA, India and Thailand routes are all being operated with Air Italy’s new long-haul Airbus A330-200, which offers up to 24 seats in the exclusive Business Class cabin making it possible to fly with maximum comfort in fully lie-flat seats with signature Italian cuisine accompanied by a selection of champagnes and Italian fine wines, Wi-Fi service, along with an extensive inflight entertainment service and the personalized attention from its on-board staff.

Air Italy is an Italian airline fully owned by AQA Holding (51% Alisarda and 49% Qatar Airways), with its headquarters in Olbia and main operating base in Milan Malpensa.

In March 2018 the Company started operation as Air Italy.

Beginning in May 2018, Air Italy added new domestic routes from Milan to Rome, Naples, Palermo, Catania, and Lamezia Terme, all scheduled for connection to its newest long-range destinations including New York, Miami (June 2018), Bangkok (September 2018) and Delhi and Mumbai (December 2018).

Its network also includes direct international flights from Milan Malpensa to Accra, Cairo, Dakar, Havana, Lagos, Mombasa and Zanzibar, and, from its Olbia Costa Smeralda hub, year-round scheduled services to Rome, Milan Linate and seasonal ones to a wide range of domestic and regional destinations.

Air Italy’s fleet is currently comprised of two Boeing 737 MAX, seven Boeing 737 NG, four Airbus A330 and three Boeing 767-300.

By the end of 2018, the fleet will be renewed following the full retirement of the B767-300 and the arrival of one more Boeing 737 MAX and one further Airbus A330-200.
